The “front & back &” step – sometimes called “scissors step” is a very common – and useful addition to bellydance combos and choreographies. But just because it’s common and practical doesn’t mean it needs to be boring! I have 8 ideas ready for you to create variations of this step that will capture the musicality of what you’re dancing it to. There are 3 suggestions for beginner-level bellydance students, 2 for dancers with a little more experience, and 3 more for upper level dancers. And of course I have plenty of teaching tips for those of you running classes!
Next week… an intermediate level combo using some of these variations! Get it sent to your inbox!
I hope these inspire some more variations of your own!
